Reverend Asbury P. Jones Jr., MPA, M.Div



Asbury is the Pastor of the Christ Temple Missionary Baptist Church of Sacramento, CA, and the former Pastor of Valley View Church of Folsom, CA. He is a former travel writer and has published writings on India, Indonesia, Myanmar, and Thailand. He engineered the delivery of the Body & Soul Program, a church-based health and wellness framework that promotes healthy eating and physical activity, to more than fifty churches throughout California. He is the son of the late Rev. Dr. A. Paul Jones, Sr., historic pastor of the New Hope Baptist in Sacramento. Asbury earned a Masters of Divinity from the Harvard Divinity School and a Masters Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School. He has three children: Malia, Lee, and Leia.
